Test engineers generate reports for documentation and review. Test standards, laboratory management, and customers often require a report at the completion of a test. Reports typically include information about the test results, equipment, and procedure.
VibrationVIEW makes it easy to generate professional vibration test reports as a docx, PDF, HTML, or Excel file. It provides default report templates, or laboratories can customize their documents to meet test standards or customer requests.
VibrationVIEW auto-generates reports using mail merge-type processing. The program reads a template file, substitutes data values and graphs in place of variables, and writes the resulting data to an output file. This process eliminates the need for the engineer to copy data from the test to their report. The software’s Help file includes a complete list of the variables that engineers can add to a report for each test type.
Report Template Editor
VibrationVIEW 2024 and newer includes a built-in report template editor that previews changes as you make them, simplifying the customization process.
Older Software Versions
If you are running VibrationVIEW 2023 or older, the following is a helpful video about the different report methods.
