Shock Response Spectrum (SRS)

January 5, 2023

The shock response spectrum (SRS) is a mathematical model that allows test engineers to examine the theoretical response of their test article to complex shock events. SRS control software synthesizes a pulse to simulate a transient event and models the response.

Course Topics

  • Mathematical model of the SRS and its validity
  • Wavelet analysis compared to time-history control
  • SRS test definitions and standard parameters
  • SRS analysis methods, including IEEE 344 requirements
