Output Configuration

March 29, 2018

Vibration Research’s VR9700 controller has two 32-bit outputs: drive and COLA/AUX. The VR10500 controller has four 32-bit output channels: three drive outputs and a COLA/AUX.

The VR9700/VR10500 can be used for a variety of shaker system configurations, including:

Single Axis: One unit using the drive output

Single Axis with Differential Output: One unit using the drive output and COLA/AUX output; applications include: push-pull, amplifier with differential input, etc.

Single Axis with COLA (Constant Level Output Adaptor): One unit using the drive output and COLA/AUX output; applications include: strobe light, external recording device, etc.

DC Offset: One unit using the drive output and COLA/AUX output

Multi-axis Control

The VR10500 outputs can be configured for multi-shaker control.

Dual-axis with Phase (a.k.a. Dualing Shakers): One unit using the drive output and COLA/AUX output

Dual-axis (No Phase): One unit using two drive outputs

3-Axis: One unit using three drive outputs

4-Post: Four units using the drive output from multiple units
